Internships are paid, full-time experiences which run January – April. As a member of our spring audit team, you will participate in all phases of business audits. You will meet with clients, plan audits, and assist with office wrap-up and report preparation. You will also get a chance to assist on special projects and conduct research on technical issues. This is a great way to learn from our audit staff and gain valuable Public Accounting audit experience. You will work with a variety of clients (within multiple industries) on engagements and your work would include but would not be limited to:

Preparing financial statements including: auditing cash, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, PP&E and debt maturity schedules, along with income expense analysis etcetera
Assisting with budget forecasts
Working closely with in-charges and clients to obtain proper documentation for fieldwork
Being able to be involved in all phases of the audit process from preparation to issuance of reports
Assisting on special projects (i.e. due diligence or mergers and acquisitions)
Researching technical issues
Requirements
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Accounting Major working towards 150 credit hours
Completion of intermediate accounting course(s)
Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship

There is also opportunity to respond to a variety of inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities. Our tax staff provides an excellent mentor network for interns who desire to learn from the best. You will work with a variety of clients (within multiple industries) on their tax preparation and planning. Your work would include but would not be limited to:

Our Estate and Trust Team uses a holistic approach to help clients plan and take into consideration the different objectives they may have throughout their life when it comes to retirement planning, charitable giving and caring for loved ones. As an Associate, your work will include but is not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing estate, gift and trust tax and informational returns
Performing tax related services for clients including corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
Identifying tax problems
Performing Trust accounting
Assisting in managing Probate and Estate administration
Managing light Real Estate administration
Preparing tax computations, work papers and entries
Researching technical issues
Communicating with team members as to the status of engagements/projects
Working to develop better skills through reading, training seminars, CPE and accepting challenging engagements/projects
Performing other tasks as necessary


Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or other related degrees (i.e., J.D.)
0-3 years of progressively challenging public accounting experience in Estate and Trust area
CPA licensure or actively working towards CPA licensure
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to reason intelligently and use sound judgment
Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong attention to details
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal capacities

During your Boulay Wealth Management Internship, we want you to work, grow, and make friends along the way! We are currently searching for a passionate student who exemplifies the Boulay Financial Advisor Team’s four core values: Community, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Celebration. This internship is a paid, full-time experience, which runs May – August.

Experience:
As a Firm, we take pride in generating an educational experience for Interns. As a member of our Wealth Management team, we want you to learn the core of the work we do. This internship experience allows interns the opportunity to work directly with the Advisor team to understand the “why” behind the services we provide. Wealth Management Interns will not be asked to generate business (through cold-calling or generating client leads) but rather focusing their time providing direct assistance to our advisors and associates to fulfill the needs of our clients. This is a great way to learn from a well-experienced team and gain valuable experience. You will get exposure to a wide variety of Wealth Management areas including:
•Financial Planning Processes (work with financial planning software and assist with client onboarding and account administration)
•Client Relationship Management (prepare for and participate in client meetings)
•Portfolio management (assist with investment activities and due diligences of investment products)
•Tax Planning (forecasting and other projections)
